Steve Van Leeuwen

Steve has over fifteen years of experience in executive marketing and business development. He has led CINIVA Systems, Simple Tourism’s parent company, to become the largest web development company in Hampton Roads and, if all goes well, Virginia. Simple Tourism, the travel SMO division of CINIVA, focuses solely on assisting travel and tourism related Web sites to achieve high search rankings and relevancy in social media.

“CINIVA cut it’s teeth in travel-related search engine optimization,” Steve says.  “Many of our first clients were travel bureaus based in Virginia, and to this day we maintain a strong roster of tourism organizations in our client portfolio. It’s an industry we know well and will continue to market through Simple Tourism.”

Steve holds a business degree from Indiana University.

Ron Greenspan

Ron formed Simple Tourism’s parent company, CINIVA Systems, in 1998 initially as a Web site consulting group geared toward the tourism and travel industry.

From 1994-1997, Ron was Director of Business Development for a division of Landmark Communications, one of the country’s largest private broadcasting and publishing companies. Working in partnership with another Landmark property, The Travel Channel, Ron helped produce a special 30-minute cable TV show highlighting travel destinations around the world.

In the early 90s, Ron served as executive vice-president of Future Tours, which he helped launch as a wholesaling subsidiary of one of the nation’s largest travel consortia. Future Tours was later acquired by Certified Vacations Group, a large-scale technology provider and private-labeler of leisure products for major airlines such as Continental, American, and Delta.

Ron holds an MBA from Virginia’s Old Dominion University in marketing and IT. He lives with his family in Virginia Beach.

Kathryn Lively

Kathryn is an award-winning author with over twenty years of writing and editing experience, and ten in search engine optimization and SEO writing. She specializes in articles on Gainesville (Fla.) bed and breakfast inns, St. Augustine (Fla.) and  Outer Banks (NC) vacations. Through writing many blog articles and managing Twitter and Facebook accounts for a majority of our featured clients, Kathryn has helped keep Simple Tourism a one-stop-shop for all tourism marketing needs online.

Since publishing her first short story at the age of nineteen, Kathryn has written for national and regional magazines, greeting card companies, and a host of Web sites. She is the author of Pithed: an Andy Farmer Mystery (Mundania Press), and has traveled the country speaking at writers and genre conferences on topics related to writing and marketing.

Kathryn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Jacksonville University.

Robbie Foglia

Robbie is a Web Systems & Marketing Manager for Simple Tourism. He handles search strategy and Web site optimization for travel and tourism clients. Prior to his employment at Simple Tourism, Robbie helped implement marketing strategy for the action sports retail chain owned by Arbear Inc. He also worked with the internal marketing department at Mindcomet Corp, an Internet marketing agency in Central Florida, and performed copy writing for the Orlando entertainment periodical aXis Magazine.

Robbie is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of the University of Central Florida’s Advertising/ Public Relations program, currently residing in Norfolk, Virginia where he grew up.

Jessica Swink

Jessica is a Search and Social Marketing Specialist at Simple Tourism where she focuses on social media marketing and SEO writing for tourism clients. Before coming to work at Simple Tourism, she was a published journalist in five newspapers across the Southeast and co-coordinated The Teen Appeal newspaper in Memphis. While in graduate school, Jessica fine-tuned her journalism degree to focus on the ever-changing world of the Internet, focusing on social media and new media models.

Jessica received her Master’s Degree in journalism from the University of Memphis, and graduated Magna Cum Laude from Auburn University in 2007 with a degree in journalism and political science.
