PPC and Ad Management

ppcAlongside top search rankings on Google lie a guaranteed way for companies to get their name on the first page of search results. Beyond the search engines, take a look at the right side of your Gmail inbox or Facebook profile. These ads are targeting you and your interests because a company thinks you would be a great future customer. PPC, or pay-per-click, advertisements are a great method to direct visitors to your site, but there are many aspects that go into setting up a successful ad campaign.

Here is a basic breakdown of how PPC advertising works. A Web site owner lives around Birmingham, Alabama and wants his CVB or tourism bureau Web site to come up in searches every search related to Birmingham. He would then learn that it would cost him between two and five cents each time someone clicks on his advertisement. At that point, he can decide how much he is willing to spend on that search result and pay more to receive more frequent appearances in searches or less. Each time someone clicks on that advertisement, though, the site owner must pay the predetermined amount for the ad.

There are many different ways to manage PPC accounts, and we will work with you to determine what works best for you. For example, some programs allow a monthly budget to be set by the Web site owner. If the tourism bureau wanted to spend only $50 a month for 2 cents a click, this results in a total of 2,500 clicks per month, or 83 clicks a day. When the ad has been clicked on 83 times that day, it will no longer appear in search results. However, if the desired amount of clicks is never reached, the site owner will only pay for the clicks received.
